The Luftwaffe Field Division

The Luftwaffe Field Divisions were Luftwaffe non-flying personnel that were drafted into infantry squads. This decision was made a lot easier when so many men were being lost in the eastern front. Also by the time it came to Normandy the Allies pretty much had air supremacy, therefore making sense to commit men to ground combat. I think this must be the first time i have fielded inexperienced troops and i imagine i am in for a shock. I will probably use them as backup for the new Fallschirmjagers that are coming out, quite thematic too i think.

In The Box

All the models are surprisingly one piece, the only thing that has to be glued is the bipod for the lmg. Very little flash and with Warlords new trend they are providing bases with their boxed blisters.

Though i opted to use a round team base for the lmg team.

One of the things that makes this squad unique is that MG13 with its double drum magazine.

This was only issued to Luftwaffe ground forces as i imagine these were taken from planes not in use.

 Even Inexperienced troops with a Panzerfaust can be deadly.

 3 Different smg poses, as with all NCOs they have to be pointing in one direction or another.

I think this is the first time ive seen metal G43 models along with 2 other using K98k

Conclusion
In all a very nice boxed set and i hope Warlord continue to bring these out to fill the gaps in the range.
