Bolt Action - 1500pts Americans [Attackers] vs 1000pt Germans [Defenders]

Here is some pictures and a little recap from a game i played in the other week.
The Americans are pushing into a fortified German village, trench works and defensive positions set up in buildings over watching the bridges will make things difficult for them.
The Americans have 3 bridges to cross over to get into town, their objectives are the town square and the junction to the south.

Grenadiers dug in and ready to repel the American forces.

More Grenadiers supported by a Stug and Mortar team.

The Panzer IV Ausf H sits on overwatch in the town square.

The north locked down by a squad of Grenadiers and MMG Team.

Another shot of the southern defences.

Fire is exchanged as the halftrack gets ready to advance over the bridge.

The first of the American airstrikes goes horribly wrong, immoblizing the Sherman which blocked the bridge and pinning a lot of the surrounding units.

American infantry pushing up to the bridge, the Greyhound drawing attention of one of the mortar teams.

Deciding that sitting around isn't a good idea the Greyhound pushes onto the bridge despite of being in the Panzer IVs line of fire.

The M1 57mm anti-tank gun moves to get into a better position.

The Grenadiers start to receive incoming mortar fire, killing some of their number.

The infantry finally decide its a good idea to push across the bridge.

A view from an American Sniper team sitting up in the trees.

Mortar fire raining down on the infantry making their way around the immobilized tank.

For some reason the infantry in the halftrack decided they would rather walk.

More infantry push forward under sniper and MG42 fire.

Finally the Americans are starting to bring their numbers to bear.

The defenders push forward to start pouring fire onto the troops on the bridge.

Under heavy fire a second squad makes it across.

A brave Greyhound starts playing cat and mouse with the Panzer IV, contesting the courtyard.

The Stug adds some supporting fire on the advancing Americans.

To avoiding being destroyed by mortar fire the Grenadiers jump out of line of site behind the trenches.

After getting across the squads start getting bogged down by MG42s

The Hellcat giving fire support from across the river.

American infantry getting very close to one of the objectives.

The Greyhound continues to toy with the Panzer IV.

The officer on the bridge is moved up in a bid to try and get the troops moving.

It seems to be too little too late.

The Greyhound managed to survive and contest the courtyard objective whilst an American infantry squad on the middle bridge got close enough to contest the bottom.
Things would of went a lot better for the Americans if they hadn't of dropped an airstrike on their own heads.
Overall a draw all around.
